  1. How we collect and use the information of our users, visitors, clients and guests

    From any person who contacts us or leaves their data in our forms, we will have the data they provide unless and until they request to be removed from our database, which can be requested at any time and we will remove them promptly. It is possible to unsuscribe from promotional e-mails using the ‘unsuscribe’ button available in them as well. The website forms are to collect information about potential clients, and we will use this data to establish communications with them about their specific inquiries for selling purposes. This includes arranging meetings to connect with people who have expressed interest in knowing more or acquiring our services, or who have acquired our services, as well as information related to their hiring and to our service (e.g. quotes, invoices, to inform about any progress with the event planning for a client). All submissions require agreement to our terms and privacy policy. You are only required to agree to GDPR terms and conditions when you fill out our forms if you reside in the EU, since your data will be automatically stored in our Squarespace database. We retain data of potential clients, even after they have become clients and their services are completed, in our database which may be stored in Squarespace as well.

    When a client confirms the purchase of our services, we collect information pertinent to their event planning process, including payment details and data relevant to traveling and having an event in Guatemala. All data we collect is in order to provide a top service for our clients and we will be clear at any time of the data that is not essential for our work but that would be recommended for us to have from any person participating in the events we organize. For example, we recommend to clients and their guests to share with us any personal information regarding medical or legal conditions that may affect their participation in the destination event such as food allergies, insect bite allergies, high pressure risks in certain altitudes or certain temperatures. This in order for us to take measures to keep them safe and prevent health or other types of complications as much as possible. The sharing of this information is strictly voluntary. We are mindful to provide a list of recommendations based on our experience and our knowledge on specifics (e.g. weather) in Guatemala to consider before arriving. In any case, we are not responsible for salient personal conditions from anyone participating in a destination event that we plan that may hamper their full and peaceful participation.

    The payment details of our clients are subjected to secure checkouts procedures so our client's payment information is always protected. The payment gateways used are protected by agreements under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). In addition, to provide a full and high quality service, we may also ask and/or require data on the guests who are attending an event in Guatemala, including but not limited to: name, age, travel details, medical conditions that may be important in considering like food allergies or restrictions, as mentioned. This information is highly confidential, and we treat it with in this way. We will also require agreement to the GDPR terms and conditions, or the ones applying to their countries, from each guest depending of their country of residence. We will not share information on our clients or guests without their express consent and only to members or partners who MUST know any data to provide their service. At any time, this data can be requested not to be shared, and we will respect and proceed accordingly. As soon as an event is finalized, we do not retain any sensitive information from our clients or guests for more than 6 months. We may disclose the personal information of any user, visitor, client or guest if we are required by law to do so.
    When browsing our website and social media profiles, we may obtain information related to metrics such as internet protocol (IP) address, country and age range. For this you may check the Meta and LinkedIn privacy policies. The traffic in our website website will also require to some data including IP and other which we collect with the use of cookies.

  2. Consent

    If you wish to receive commercial (i.e. non-transactional) communications from us and reside in the EU, USA or Canada, we require agreement of GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAN and CASL terms and conditions as per the legislation of where you reside. You are not obliged to agree to them and you retain your right to revoke permissions for the storage of your data by e-mailing us regardless of your country of residence. Generally you express your agreement to this by filling out any of our Opt-In forms.  We do not generally send promotional emails. However, we may send emails such as updates in our services or a greeting e-mail during holidays to former clients, which is why we ask for your consent when filling out our forms or when we formalize a commertial relationship with a client. To decline your consent for these promotional e-mails or opt-out at any time by selecting the ‘unsuscribe’ button in our email communications or by writing an e-mail to us to celebration@celebraos.com. This does not apply to transactional e-mails for our clients or potential clients such as invoices or information regarding the planning of their event, unless they reside in the EU, in which case we will request a specific consent to manage their information for the purposes of the services they acquired with us in order to be able to provide them.

    When a user, client or potential client provides us with personal information to ask about our services or to complete a transaction, or any other communication through our social media or contact channels, their consent to data collection of the data they provide to directly respond to their request is implied. We will use the data for the intended purpose that the user or potential client has, and the person can always ask to be removed and that none of their data is retained in our database, and we will proceed to remove them accordingly. In the case of active clients, the data management for as long as our services are developing is stated in their contract. We may ask for additional information from clients or potential clients for a secondary reason, like building an event proposal, planning or producing an event, for which we will ask consent to this information directly. Information on guests of our clients will also be asked emphasizing the prior consent of the owners of the information. For information regarding guests under the legal age (i.e. 18 years old) or who require a legal guardian, we will use the legal guardian's consent unless expressed differently by the Guatemalan laws. For all of our clients, guests and people who accompany the hosts to the destination event in Guatemala, we will require them to consent to GDPR if applicable so we can handle data necessary for their participation in an event. We also require you to agree to receive communications from us when you fill out any of our event forms as we will be communicating with you regarding your request.

  3. Security

    Our website is under a Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) encryption version of HTTP, to protect data integrity and privacy between our users and our website. 

    We follow best practices in order to protect the personal information of our users, clients, potential clients and guests, to ensure it is not misused, accessed by unauthorized parties or altered in any way.

  4. Cookies

    To enhance navigation on our website, we may use cookies. You can verify and accept the use of certain groups of cookies while others are necessary for website performance. The cookies' policy can be checked at any moment after landing on any of the pages on our website, which is managed by us through CookieYes. They are available on the lowest part of the screen, in the middle. The cookies' policy is part of the privacy agreement for the use of our website and the essential cookies section must be agreed to if you visit it.
